On 15 December 2020, the Soria City Council will commence the traditional Christmas tree give-away at Plaza de Toros. These trees are made up of branches from pine trimmings at the province's mounts, and will later on be recycled as part of the ‘Soria 2030’ initiative for promoting sustainable development. The distribution times will be extended to facilitate pick-ups and avoid creating crowds in accordance with current sanitary measures.
The give-away will take place between December 15th through 18th, 21st and 22nd, from 9 am to 2 pm, at Plaza de Toro’s outdoor courtyard. You are encouraged to donate 2 euros. All proceeds will go to charity.
Terms of delivery:
- Extended distribution times (6 days).
- Individual and personalized pick-ups at the inner courtyard, with limited and controlled access.
- Hand sanitizer available at the entrance/exit.
- Outdoor waiting area in accordance with current sanitary measures.
Later on, special containers will be installed for the repurposing of the pine trimmings.
